so the holidays are almost here. for some reason i'm not so excited. i had the bulk of my shopping done before dec 1st so i haven't had to take part in the insanity of holiday shopping from the shopper's point of view. however, i do work in a retail enviroment so i've been able to experience it from the seller's side and believe me, it is enough to make anyone into a grinch. what i hate the most about customers is the ones who ask for something and i tell them we don't have it, then they ask me why? i'm like "why?" because your savior hates you. what the hell kind of question is that? and i don't know how many of you out there work in reatail, but we have these things called sales goals. if we make our sales goals, management, (which is me), gets a bonus. we haven't made a our sales goal in over eight months. our typial goal for non-holiday time is about fifteen thousand dollars. we've been pulling close to thirty thousand dollars a day recently and we still aren't making our projected goals. its very disheartening. its as if corporate figures out exactly two thousand dollars more than we could possibly make in one day and sets that as our sales goal. well to hell with corporate, i want my bonus.
