my b-day was on the 14th. i have been sick with some sort of cold/flue since tuesday, so my birthday wasn't too incredibly fun. i did, however get a new camera. i might even post some new pics sometime soon.
i did my actual celebrating for the b-day last weekend when i wasn't sick. (obviously i didn't know i was going to be sick, but it worked out for me just the same.) on friday i went over to a co-worker's house and played a poker tournament and won. it was a twenty dollar buy in with six people. i came out with ninety dollars. (second place got thier buy in back.) i was able to get a bit tipsy but not drunk because i had to drive myself home. i don't really get drunk much anymore anyway. i guess that is something one grows out of. on saturday i saw a show in san francisco. tiger army played with afi. i tried taking some pics of that with my camera phone, but camera phones suck and so do these pictures.

the sound mixing at the show wasn't that great. i could only hear the drums when tiger army played and only the vocals for afi. i've been to a couple of afi shows before and they are one of my favorite bands, (in that genre) to see live because of how the crowd participates. at this last show it seemed like there was a different crowd. i suppose it is because of how mainstream they've gotten. they still performed well, from what i could hear.
