what a weekend, what a weekend...
After a full week of waking up before the sun to do radio interviews with god-awful morning drive djays in every backwater burg in this country, it was time to git drunk...
My friend KD left his job to work full-time on his magazine. Ironically, this is only days after I escape the drudgery of magazine work. Regardless, drunk we did get, and getting home on Friday I do not remember... surely, that means it was a good night.
Saturday was rougher than expected. My friends finally bought a new couch for their apartment (overlooking the east river from the 22nd floor...i will kill them and take over their lease) so they had a couch-warming party starting in the early afternoon. I had to keep the imbibing to a minimum as dear mama morranimal was coming into town for dinner with yours truly.
Picked momz up at penn station and we were chowing down at acme in no time. She sipped on margaritas whilst i chugged gin. Surprisingly, everything went well. it helped that she left straight from dinner.
And so i'm pretty drunk by 7:30 and it's still about 2 hours until my book party starts. pace thyself, i tried to tell myself. it didn't work. Luckily, i took photos and put them onto my new blog:

last night thurs 11th .. it was a hole in the wall though, so you didn't miss anything.
we ended up skipping out and hitting some other places on Smith St ..
