Do you think corporations are persons? The U.S. Supreme court does in a decision handed down yesterday. Going way beyond giving corporations free speech, the highest court has given corporations unlimited rights to say whatever they want about a person, place or thing (even if it's a lie) and spend as much of their profits and investors money to do so as well as spend as much money on lobbying and buying politicians as they want. This will also make it harder to create and enforce regulations on such things as product safety, unfair trade practices and price fixing and gouging.
