hope is a dangerous thing
i mean, what's life without hope? no hope for the future, a job, that you'll find love, a house, or anything like that. i think that would make life flavorless. bland and boring. you have to have hope in order to keep going. to wake up everyday. to go to school or work. to spend time with that boy or girl you like. if you didn't have hope, then why strive for anything.
on the other hand, hope can kill you. like, if you're hoping to get that job, or that boy or girl, and you don't. that could kill you depending on how much hope you've invested. what's more is that if whatever you're striving seems so easily attainable. like if you gt a call back for a job, or a kiss goodnight. things that almost assure victory, only to have it taken away. "oh, i'm sorry. the position has been filled." and "i just don't like you like that." things like that can kill you.
it's fair to say that i'm hopeful. it's also fair to say that i'm just waiting to die.
