Now that it is official, and now that I actually have the paper work in front of me I can finally announce my...err...announcement.
After 6 years of service, I put my two week notice in at FOSSIL yesterday. I love the company, and I wish I could have stayed and advanced as I'd hoped, but unfortunately this has not happened, and I've waited too long. I was offered another job Monday (still in retail) but at almost $2/hour more than what I've made for the past year at FOSSIL. I'll probably cry on my last day, and this was a really tough decision to make on my part. I've grown very close to a great deal of my co-workers over the past few years, and despite the fact that I will just be across the damn hallway, it will be sad for me. However, always the optimist, I'm jumping the gun and starting my training at my new job on Sunday. Three cheers to change.
