THE ULTIMATE SUICIDE GIRL.... it has been two years now since I lost my wife, Lydia, to breast cancer. It is strange to get my head around the time without her... it is even stranger to recall our lives together. We lived an intense fairy tale. We were soo in love and on a mission to live life to the fullest. We followed our hearts every moment of the day without compromise!
Lydia was diagnosed at age 23. She was a dancer/musical theatre actress and was working on Richard O'brian's Rocky Horror Show European Tour playing the part of MAGENTA. She was soo HOT!!!!
The news coulld have been devestating but she handled it... the doctors told her she had six months to live and she laughed at them.... "wanna bet!"
She faught for FOUR years. I was by her side every step of the way. We had so much fun! We had a license to do whatever the FUCK we wanted! And we did!
Had she known about Suicide Girls I know she would have done many sets!! She did countless photo shoots...flaunting her mastectomy with pride... with strength and grace!
I wanted to share this with all of you...( need to start sharing some of this for sanity sake). But her attitute on life and strength seems to be exactly the same as soo many girls that share their presence with the world on this site! I admire soo many of you girls from afar and wish you soo much luck in your lives. We all can do whatever we want if we believe it...like the quote from the Rocky Horror Show.." Don't Dream It.. BE IT!"
Lydia returned to the Rocky Horror Tour once she regained her strength.. I very triumphant return to the stage while still undergoing chemo treatment... she incorporated her shaved head into the act... which she shaved before doing chemo... she said it helped her get into her warrior mode preparing to fight for her life.
