I feel your pain. I'm also using a futon as a sofa. Double stuffed or not, it is not a comfortable seat!
Cats attacking Christmas trees are a form of tradition in my apartment. That normally turns out OK. Cats FIGHTING under Christmas trees leads to lets of crashing and trees falling all over the place in the early hours of the morning. Less fun, more startling!
Nothing says fun like being woken up at 3 am to the sounds of a tree crashing to the ground and 2 cats running in opposite directions trying desperately to look innocent!

The bite seems to be fine (she didn't break the skin but left a red bite mark!). I still can't believe that! Jeez!
Christmas trees falling over are an intergral part of my Christmas experience. If it doesn't hit the ground at least once a season, it just doesn't feel like Christmas.

Work Christmas party this weekend, will be interesting to see how it pans out. Last year was a massive right-off for me. I made fair impression of myself. All in good fun!
