I kind of got a good smacking upside the ehad today.
Went to the lapidary club meeting, did some socializing, Trying to do a bit of networking, make me some connections,
We watched a film called The End Of Suburbia: Oil depleaton and the collapse of the american dream.
Talks about where north america is headed in the near future should we be at the peak of oil production.
I was sceptical, and I hate to let one thing suddenly change my mind, but it did answer most of my questions, it wasn't just a bunch of damn hippies going on about stuff. It was very straight forward and covered almost everything about how life is going to change should oil prices become too high for everybody to afford.
I can't begin to touch onto it in this entry, it was too much.
Ultimatly it came to how the communities we have established right now are going to have to become more like their origional deffinition. We're going to have to relie on local sources of food and products.
I seriously think everybody should watch it.

Made me realize how important these little local connections I'm making are.
Going out to the movies with Sarita tomorrow. She came over for brunch the other day during her spare period at school. We were cuddly... I don't know what to do about it or where it's headed. Until I know, I just need some affection and she wants to give it.
Going to new york on the 25th. Going to miss a week of work looks like, maybe just a couple days. It might work if I'm not paying rent for june then I can afford it easily enough.
I think mom will cut me the slack considering that's the month she's moving in and I'm missing work to go to her graduation.
Anyway. Gonna play games a bit. Mebby have some coffee, stay up late.

my friend is a vet tech, and she's looking into going to purdue (I think), its in Indiana or someplace around there. she also got accepted at Tufts which is here in Massachusetts, but will cost several thousand more $$$$.
