Well I have to say, that was bit of a kick in the nickers. Spent all saturday getting ready for the game, sent over to my buddy's place at 5:00. We got out guns all tuned up and ready to go so we could be out the door in the morning and mebby our driver would let us stop at wendy's for breakfast. All ready, outside in the driveway next to the house... he was the one going on about being there 20 minuted before game time so we'd better be ready to go, around 7:20 we go down to the end of the driveway and wait for him. No sign.. Nope, nadda, doesn't show up two hours later. We call the feild. He's there. Says he was waiting for ten minutes in the driveway of a house he thought was my buddy's. Not sure how we missed him. But yeah, we didn't get to play... I'm kind of used to dissapointment latly, but this was to be Kevin's first real game.
So we had a spring pistol fight in the back yard. He wanted to skirmish with the rifles but I'm a little nervouse about it out there. It's sparsly populated but there are people not far from where we'd be. Don't want em freaking out about the scarry peopel with assault rifles.
Played alot of video games, went for a hike then decided to watch saving private ryan, but it was longer than I had thought so I got a ride back around 9:00...
I'm wondering if our ride was just nervouse about being the one to take two unknown players to a game.
I can understand. Thoug h I have been to about 8 or 9 games before and some of the big guys in the scene know me. He doesn't know that. It's been a year or so since I played last.
We'll see... I do want to get to some games this year. Hell. I just bought some more stuff for my gun. I better get to play.
I also want to get a gas pistol. It seems so... odd to use such a flamable gas to power those guns, but apparently it has almost exactly the same properties of propain. So that's what peopel have been using to save money. I think I'll give it a bit longer, talk to some more players. If they all agree propain is ok in them, then I'll get one.
Thinking Glock 26 or 18. Or else splurge and get a western arms 1911 6"... Mmmmmm sexy....
