I've got the apartment! We move on the 31st! Freaking excited. But I need a new bed. Mine sucks.
Work is hellish, I just want a nice stable new job where I make what I'm worth, and I don't mean to offend, but I want to work in a place that's run by men. because both times I've worked in businesses both small and large where women are in charge, it's all gossipy and nobody functions as a team. So again, run by men... Oooor really butch women, in which case I may try to climb up the business ladder by first, going down.
I have finaly completed my camping web gear. I'm quite proud of it. Very ramshackal. But it'll do the job and it's comfy. Holds all my little survival gadgets so I just have to store things like bedding in my backpack.
My matrix coat is comming along just swimmingly! Did I mention in my last post that I ripped the old one apart and started a new pattern from it? I got pretty far that first night I worked on it. Now the entire thing is assembled save for the sleeves. I'm going to try to resew the shoulders though. The seams are a little too far forward. I think with a bit of tweaking it'll be perfect.
But man, is there a lot of material. This thing is going to flow like crazy.
It's comming along so well I already think I could do another and change things up even more. I want a red longcoat and a blue one. But I have plans for them, They're going to be very different.
I want a high collar on the red one, but I want it to be like the collar on the headless horseman's cloak in sleepy hollow. What with the batwing-esque pointy bits at the ends and the back.
I'll need a more ridged material. I might try to make it double breasted too, or else like a frock with the panel up the front.
Anyway. I think I'm getting a hang of this sewing thing.
I packed up some of my kitchen stuff. Gonna try to work on my room a bit tonight. Ithink I'm going to get rid of a lot more. Might try to sell some of my toys.
I found a really awesome gun online I kind of want to buy. It's a fully loaded SKS rifle. Pressure sensative flashlight and laser sight, targeting scope, shell deflector, perforated heat guard, folding stock. All the bells and whistles for $1100. Seems like a pretty good deal but I'm not too hopeful about it.
A: My licence hasn't even arrived yet.
B: I want the moisin to be my first gun, something WW2 era at least. or else something I pick up and really take to. It's gotta be special either way.
C: I don't have $1100 yet. I'm calling in some debts, some of which I deffinitly should be charging interest on because it's been over a year.
I have some birthday and christmas money comming in from my dad . But I know he said he'd like me to get some more jewelry tools with it. So we'll see how much is left over. I think he'd be more interested in funding my moisin than a crazy hotrod like this SKS.
My buddy who was supposed to buy my airsoft M16 quit his job and doesn't have a new one. I might have to turn around and sell it to someone else soon if he doesn't do something.
That's a potential $700 I'm sitting on.
Anyway. Done my after-work coffee. Gonna get to work around the house now.
Oh! And I may be hooking up with a hot 35 year old. More on that story on the monday evening news.
