As Valentines Day approches it got me thinking of My First Kiss
It was 1975, I was 5 and living in Newark, New Jersey, in the High St projects where everyone there was family.When someone was in need everyone pitched in to help,when the adults was partying you could get a contact high just by walking pass the door.
It must have been spring time because it just cool enough for us to wear a jacket and a hat but warm enough for us to ride our bikes an me with my Big Wheel. This day inparticular was a pretty good day, the whole gang was out there in the quad, the guys riding bikes and playing stick-ball the girls off in the corner paying jump rope and I think hop-scotch(I remember them doing alot of jumping),so as I was doing a few laps on my big wheel one of the girls (Robin) stopped me and asked if she could ride, now Robin was your average looking except she had hazel eyes and noone else that I could remember had hazel eyes, so I let her ride, soon as she rode off all I heard was " YOU GOTTA GIRLFRIEND YOU GOTTA GIRLFRIEND!" I was being ragged on by the guys! So when Robin was done with her ride she got upp and I went to sit down I felt something hit my shoulder and her say thank you for letting me ride,as I was turning around to say your welcome she planted one on me got me on the corner of my mouth,and ran home. The guys laught and ragged on me untile I ran and hide in my room.
I wonder what ever happen to Robin?!
