Well, today I find out that I didn't get the job I was hoping for. It's a major drag, especially seeing as how I was lead to believe it was a sure thing by my temp agent before the holidays. Honestly, I kinda got screwed because this wild goose chase caused me to miss another opportunity.



But, at the same time I'm relieved that this agonizing waiting period is finally fucking over. It wasn't meant to happen, and I'm cool with that. Now I can just clear the decks and move forward. Maybe this weekend I'll actually be able to enjoy myself for a change.

I did learn one thing from this though, and that is I definitely want to move into the news media/publishing field. I eventually want to be a pro article writer -- I just need some hands-on experience so I can figure out what kind of stories I should be writing... where my niche is.

Anybody got any copy editing leads in Houston? I'm beginning to fear I may have to leave this town again sooner than I thought...
