Yeah, Tuesday and Wednesday was fun. Tue I woke up at 6:40, left house at 7, barely made it to Longview and in class on time. Listened to the teacher a little bit, and then fell right back asleep. Woke up right before the 5 min break. went and splashed water on my face, trying to wake up. Came back, fell right back asleep. I was definately out this time. I woke up, and this time I could tell that I was up for good, I wasn't tired anymore. The teacher then said have a good day. Mornings are NOT my thing.
Wednesday, I pick up this kid Brandon in Deer Island, and we head to school. We have the same class, and it's our only class, so it's a perfect carpool system. He asks if we could stop by Lowes afterward, cause he just got some new power tools, and then found out that they have a student discount; he wanted to see if he could get the discount back. We talked to a couple auto instructors, because I need tools for the class, since all mine got jacked a couple years ago I could get Snap-On or Matco tools half off for being a student. But even with that discount, it would still be upwards of a grand. I don't have that much money. So Brandon and I went to Lowes. They don't have a student discount, and they didn't have anything that looked somewhat decent enough for me to want to buy anything. We then travelled to the Three Rivers Mall, and went to Sears. There, we ran into some guy who I guess wanted to help us, I don't know. He apparently went through the same course I am, and so he's pointing out, "Oh, you're going to need this, and this, and this is the starter kit I got, it's really good, and you're going to need that...." I guess he was really starting to piss off Brandon, but I saw the logic in the tools that he was pointing out, and I figured I'm going to need them eventually. So I got a basic socket/wrench/and other stuff set ( ), a bunch of miscellaneous other stuff, like a screwdriver set, tools for snap rings, tape measure, gloves, eyewear, and a bunch of other tools, and then I got a tool box, one of the big red ones with drawers and wheels. I got everything craftsman, and I didn't have to pay for tax, since I'm an Oregonian yeah....$413.71. I paid $300 for my CAR. We took all the tools back to school, set up the tool box, and put everything in it, locked it up, and put it in the tool room, which is also locked. I then had to go to work, so on Monday, when I get a chance, I will be actually playing with them a bit, since the basic kit came with all the tools in plastic bags, and a plastic box thing with drawers, so I've got to figure out where they all go, and open the other pieces. I'll be having fun!!
