So I almost never blog and I'm so sorry for that! i really need to become more active on here and I promise too! Its just hard when I usually access the site through my cell phone. Makes blogging and navigating kind of hard, ya know?
ANYWAY!
This weeks blog homework is what made me feel good this week... so here goes nothing!
Have you ever worked countless hours at a job, i mean really put in 120% and NEVER seen anything come out of it?! Never a "thank you" or a "good job". No raise or acknowledgement at all? Yea, life story right?
Well when i moved to Maryland in May of this year I got a job working at a vendor tent selling sundresses, on my birthday(June 26th)! As if that wasn't luck on its own! After no more than a month later I received a raise for my outstanding sales and customer service skills. Even got a bonus! Shortly after i took on the job of Manager.I was then in control of hiring, payroll, and scheduling! This is amazing to me considering I've never been given this kind of responsibility before! which is something i so crave!
Well I've been there a few months now and the owner has offered me a partnership, with the option to buy out his share if i so choose. I'm so excited! I'm 22 years old and have my own business in front of me! Something i can call a career! I never dreamed i'd amount to anything and now the possibilities seem endless! like my whole future is in front of me and for the taking! I couldn't be more happy!
So if you feel that you are not appreciated in the work place, keep going! that day will come and it is the most empowering feeling in the world!
And THAT is what has me feeling good this week... :)
