when I was a kid I use to have them all the time! But once I hit about 16-18 they all pretty much stopped. Except for random new ones from time to time.. I know I've been under a lot of stress lately but the fact that a dream I haven't had I 3-5 years has all the sudden returned has me very freaked out.
It starts the same, I'm outside at my grandparents house, they live by a small bit of wooded area. It's night time, so dark it's hard to see. Very few stars and the only thing lighting anything is the moon... The dream starts light hearted with the feeling of exploring...
But something changes... Idk if I see something or just sense it but I become afraid and I start to run, headed to my grandparents home I assume for safety... But as I run through the back yards by the woods I can't seem to get any closer to safety... I don't know what's chasing me or why...
The feeling is overwhelmingly terrifying. But what ever I'm running from I feel like it comes from the woods...
Then I force myself awake, heart racing, sweaty, with goose bumps up and down my arms... After I'm awake I don't wanna go back to sleep! And I'm 21! I hate feeling like a child but this really has me wound up..
Anyone know anything about dreams? Nightmares? Or why one that's been gone so long has randomly returned?
Advice or words of window would be appreciated..
