Couldn't sleep today. Feeling depressed about the prospects of our company.
Starting your own company is too damn hard. I think maybe I sacrificed too much for this.
You people with boring low stress jobs don't know how good you've got it.

I know what you're saying about the video game industry becoming like hollywood. It's scary. Especially for someone like me. I seriously want to have a career doing game programming, but I'm still in the early stages of learing. I have a long ways to go, and i'm scared of what the industry will look like once I'm ready to look for a job.
hmm.. best of luck to you, though.
One danger with game programming is that it can burn you out quickly. The industry is full of young people, and there aren't many old game programmers out there. They either move up to management or else get obsoleted by younger programmers.
Anyway, don't let any of that discourage you because I wouldn't have traded all of those horrible experiences in the industry for other horrible experiences in a completely uninteresting industry.
The tough part of game programming, for me since I'm in graphics, is keeping up with all of the constant changes in hardware.
