I bought the Phantom of the Opera sountrack day before yesterday. I saw the show on Broadway back in January.

I'm a sucker for the Beauty and the Beast story-it strikes me that's what Phantom is. There are too many days when my demons get the better of me and I feel ugly, weak, and worthless. I grew up thinking that I was strange and a little off key and I've never completely shaken that notion. Yet there have always been people around who love me and lift me up. Some of them beautiful women who cast their affections on me like sunshine through a dark room. I aslo know that there are times when I see beauty that no one else sees.

That's why Phantom works for me.
