Tonight this band-- only one of the greatest bands EVER-- is playing a FREE SHOW in at the Three Rivers Arts Festival:

How AMAZING is that!? If live around here and you don't go you are a damn fool. If you haven't already, you should definitely check out the movie that clip is from-- it's really interesting. I've seen most of it but I believe I missed the end because I was too drunk. Oops. If I could go back in time and live in any era I absolutely, hands down would wanna be my age now in Max's Kansas City/Factory era New York. I think I'd fit riiiiight in.

If someone were to put a spell on me that would turn me into a pair of sneakers I would most certainly become these:

Speaking of my significant other, I haven't been able to fall back asleep since he left for work. Me and Mr. Kitteh have just been kind of lounging in bed wishing breakfast would magically appear. He keeps wiggling his nose but it doesn't appear to be working.

So today is Father's Day. What did you guys get your papabears? I got mine a wall sized world map. Kind of an unusual gift, but it's what he asked for.

I start my new job on Tuesday! I think it'll feel good to finally join the real world again, although it'll be weird because before I quit my last job I had been there for 2 years.

Two things that annoy me:
1. People who hear other people speaking different languages and tell them "Speak English. We're in America." Are people in other countries this xenophobic? It makes me sick.

2. Head to toe American Apparel outfits. Nothing says "I'm trying too hard" quite like it. Don't get me wrong, I do like AA. But if you're gonna do it, wear one, maaaaybe two of their pieces at a time. Otherwise you look like a total ween who is trying desperately to be cool.
