Just because... !

Saw 2, huh?

Must have seen it at a "budget" cinema (as we call them here) that specializes in films already in-theatres for three-to-six months, and, sometimes, out on dvd already, as well.

Havn't been to one of those since I saw Sgt. Bilko (the re-make of the television show) with my dad about five years ago. Before that, it was Chasing Amy, in late '97, with a coed group of friends.

Saving? Saving money? That's a concept I've only recently returned to... But, looking back at the last fourteen months, something I should have thought to do then.

I salute your thrift, then.

And, to a lesser extent, mine... Which is there, but I still find a way to save a little less than I could in order that I can buy lap-dances, bourbon, six magazine 'scripts, skim mint meltaway lattes, the occasional lesser-couture (read: non-name) tee-shirt....

I suppose I'm a short- to medium-term planner. Hunh.

And, good luck with your long-term purchasing (the creme of the L.A.M.B. catalog).

Ah. The Payne Stewart Ladies Collection. The weekend-duffer, tartan collection moves from sportswear to the women's dept. Good on it.

Good luck in the kitchen, as well. But stay away from the cooking sherry... It's a bit weird to get smashed on, and I wouldn't advise it.

But while I'm here, I see that your boys are going to be wearing the road whites but will have a crowd tilted heavily toward PITT love. I don't know whether to be meh or offended to that, as a sport fan... I'll prolly stay meh, and will mostly just watch to see if the Steeler fans turn Ford Field into the same kind of disparity as did the UW fans at the '94 Rose Bowl.

Prolly the most amazing sport memory I have, right up there with seeing Nolan Ryan's three hundredth win, in person (Milwaukee County Stadium bleachers, left field side).

My worst (present) sport memory: the mugging of Marquette's Dominic James in the Petersen Center by those other PITT brawlers (who are a basketball team, dadgum!). Me thinks the basketball gods will not take kindly, and an early exit from the NCAA field of sixty-four should be in the offing.

You mean, in my comment? I know so.... His first album is one of the few from which I can remember lyrics pretty well. Surprisingly, and even if I can't drop them on a dime, I remember the last six seven tracks better than the first dozen.

... Meanwhile, my journal posting - which is to what I thought you referred - was from a Black Nasty video to which another poster on another board linked.

But, yeah... I'm weird like that.

I should suggest that you take advantage of the priorities amnesty declared in your area and take the next two weeks off. Next three, if your Ca'her Pa'her doesn't burn out on Championship Sunday.

Also, some doll or fella posted a chill-pill toward the top (second comment in?), and I have to say to her/him - Thank you. I feel nine again, in Mrs O'Donald's phys. ed. class, and being chided moderately for being anxious. Teach's favorite expression was "take a chill-pill" (and she, a late thirties, tallish, white woman). The incongruity, even then...

But, the nostalgia is great, moreso examining a life, not just reenacting it. But, to the future...

All told, I hope that things shall look up up up up up up.
