I've been waiting all morning for the train from seattle to come in bearing an old childhood buddy. Turns out that it was late because it hit someone. A person, not a car... WTF is with the trains in this country? I took a train from Seattle when I moved from there to Santa Fe years ago and the same thing happened outside of LA. Except it was two trucks; one was towing the other and the train barrier came down between them...

Well I'm off to pick up my buddy from the train station. Then for a night of drunked debochery (We'll put dave attell to shame I'm sure).

What is your best/worst train (or mass transit) story?

strangers on a train - by: alfred hitchcock

when i lived in queens, ny i had to walk home from the N train late at night because i worked in manhattan. So, before i knew my hood, i created tactics to discourage anyone from bothering me. i would walk really BIG, like i was a giant. i accomplished this by taking huge strides and swinging my arms violently. i also talked to myself OUTLOUD in a made up language. "edabout egan omachi luncie...." in other words my walk home was totally insane. hee hee.

have fun with your buddy. kiss

i backpacked through europe only on trains. 45 days. on the train into italy from switzerland, there happened to be no open cabins. so i sat inbetween the two cars.. by one of the exits.. smoking cigarettes.

apparently a group if italian soldiers were on the train and they saw me get on. so they sat with me in the end of the car and entertained me on the way to venice.. well they tried to get me to get off at their base with them.. but i made it safe and sound to venice. oh what a letter to penthouse that woulda been.
