The drive home from Vancouver was a bit hairy... the sky opened up and dumped for pretty much the whole 6 hour drive. whole body tension headache by the time I got home to my pups. It was good to be in my own bed again.

The weekend was great. I really do like that city, it's one of my favorites. Honey took me out to a great little vegetarian Dim Sum place before the SG event. It was great to meet everyone at DV8. Everyone was very cool. Honey and I imbibed absinthe the whole night and I have to admit I became transfixed with the green fairy as I fell under her anise sweet aqueous spell. I love the whole ritual of it. My only sorrow was that I wasn't able to get some to smuggle back.

The chagal show at the vancouver museum was ok. I wasn't aware prior to going that it was mostly his early book illustration though. It was allot to take in. they had a great documentary on his life playing. I am going to have to head south to SFMOMA if I want to see his painting work though.

I am feeling a bit floaty right now. some alone time will be very nice indeed. I think that a quiet night curled up with the pups is in order. I have a great new book about journeys through the history of color and the artists palette (ya, a bit art geeky... what can I say.)
