Alright so it turns out that that last post was a bit of a lie...not that anybody really notices what I write here.

Anyway I just found out on Wednesday that I'm going to be shipping out this Monday instead of the 31st. That's about three weeks earlier than I was supposed to. This has kinda screwed up my plan to try and relax and enjoy a bit of civilian life before I hand it over to the Army for the next four years (maybe plus), but it is what it is and there's little I can do about it.

Kinda funny though. My recruiter tried to call me, but I was at work (my last day, ironically) so I couldn't answer. Just texted some with him and he told me my ship date had moved. I'm obviously a little shocked and go tell my supervisor that I need to call my recruiter. I got out side, call, and as I start to talk to him it feels almost like a little panic attack that I'm having as all of the sudden the life that I know will be blown away in four days.

Feeling a little more comfortable about the sudden change that's happened and now I think I'm mostly just nervous about actually going to basic and all of the unknowns that go along with that. Even though I've read quite a bit about the different phases that you go through in basic, it's still a little worrisome because so much depends on my Company and the Sergeants that train me and all that.

All in all it'll be good though. I just wish that my last night in bed as a civilian wasn't spent in a shitty hotel bed at a hotel by the air port...
