Interesting week to say the least.

I went to the SG Australia Ball last Saturday which was in Brisbane this year, it is the first time that I have actually meet anyone from SG in person. They were all very nice and I had a great time.

It was a costume ball with a computer game theme, I went as a Ghostbuster, I put the...

What kind of jerk punches a Ghostbuster?

That is the stupidest shit I've ever read. Someone clearly woke up in the morning and tasked themselves with 1-upping yesterdays dick performance, where he kicked someone elses dog, "Today, I'm going to assault the first beloved 80's movie franchise I see"

Glad to hear you're on the mend

So I picked up the keys to my new apartment today, so I am no longer homeless, I just hope it is as nice as I remember.

I am heading over there to check it out and to see if it still has a cult like feel to it.

A big thanks to Cybele for here tips on how to avoid the cults love bombing....

Congrats on the new digs, good sir. Hope it proves to be a pleasant -- and love bomb-free -- place to live.

Well, some folks believe the Church of LDS to be a cult (albeit a hugely rich and powerful one), and it qualifies for tax-exempt status. Guess it's a matter of opinion.

Oh, and best o' luck with the SG recruitment and indoctrination campaign. (Better start working on those pamphlets now.) wink

Thanks, too, for the kind "shout out." smile

Good news everyone,

I have found somewhere to live, so I feel less stressed. I move in at the end of August.

Its going to be a bit strange as I am moving into an apartment and I have always lived in houses. So I don't really know what to expect.

I keep calling it "The Cult" as it is a little community in it...

I cannot say that my experiences with apartment living have been particularly positive (I typically end up with terribly noisy and unreasonable upstairs neighbors), but I do hope that things work out well for you. smile

Sounds like a lovely place, despite its "cult-like" amenities. (Just don't open your door to identically dressed residents peddling strange little booklets, for they may attempt to "love bomb" you.) wink

I am moving house and I hate moving.

The owners of the place that I have been living for the last 3 years have decided they want there house back, so I am kind of having to move in a hurry, so I told them I would be out by Monday......

Only problem is I don't have any where else to go as yet.

I...

Gypsy days can really suck, or not so much. I hope you are enjoying the not so much part.

Happy Birthday!
cybele:
Moving is definitely one of life's more unpleasant realities. And, yeah, couch surfing is certainly not an ideal situation. Viewing your circumstances as an adventure or "character building" exercise seems like a pretty healthy approach, though.

Hope you're able to find a place to call "home" very soon.

Oh, and...Happy Birthday! smile

I love that moment that you share with a beautiful stranger, where you see a girl and there is eye contact and an exchange of smiles and then you are lost in the crowd again.

In that few seconds is something pure, no words are exchanged, your heart skips a beat in all likeliness you will never see her again.

Maybe I should have followed...

Last night there was a finger nail moon in the sky.

They say that when the moon is full that it brings out the crazy in people.

Is it crazy to chase the light, to see something that is brilliant in a dark sky.

Do I cling (by my finger nails) to my insanity when the moon is at it's dimmest.

In the darkness hides...

I feel the kiss of winter pushing against the forcefield contained in my blankets, testing it, looking for a weakness.

Somewhere for the cold to come pouring in to my bed and embrace me.

It's a trick of course, I know this and the cold knows that I know this but we play the game and as soon as I stop concentrating my warmth will...

Today is the 14th anniversary of my Mothers death, and it is also my Godsons 13th Birthday, I have often pondered this, does fate have a sense of humor or is there suppose to be balance.

I miss her every day, I always think about her and I wonder if she would be proud of the person that I have become.

Would she be happy...
