Corn of the dead

Once upon a time there was a land much like your own, the air was familiar as were the buildings.

This land was bountiful with the fruits of the earth and no one went hungry, the people celebrated the harvest with joyful festivals on long summer nights, the warm breeze embracing the swirling dancers.

For many years the people were happy and wanted for nothing, but a darkness was growing in the corners of the land, much like a fart grows in your stomach after a big plate of beans.

As the land grew darker and the soil turned rotten, the crops withered and fell, the people grew hungry and were consumed by fear, much like a man turtling after Taco Bell, knowing he is too far from a bathroom to save his underwear.

As the land died and the buildings crumbled an evil erupted from the corpse of the once bountiful harvest, the corn was alive and ravenous for the flesh of people, it slouched through the fields languid and wretched, a rotten stench following it much like a man after Taco Bell who was too far from the bathroom and was the victim of a soiling.

The corn tore through the land engulfing the people, their resistance was weak as hunger took its toll, a last stand overrun, overwhelmed by the horde, the remaining few fought a final battle in vain, breath left body and fell to the ground much like a man after Taco Bell, the soiling too much, the stomach cramps consuming.

The End

that was my first attempt at vegetable horror, a new sub genre I’ve been working on for years but never published until now.

Next episode ‘Onion campsite massacre’ holy shit I can’t wait can you?
