after just shy of 7 years in los angeles, i have finally taken that great step...i have joined a gym. it's not a scene-y gym. it doesn't even have air conditioning. there's no pilates classes, and there's not a "toddler room." it's just a groovy gym i can either walk or ride my bike to, and it's a place where i can use the treadmill or lift some weights and not have to worry about some over-muscled gay guy or girl checking either me or themselves out in the mirror and expecting me to dance like a monkey because i'm so pleased they're buff.
