i urge you all to check out this band and the songs on their website. i needed something exciting and new for summer. i think this may be it.

i feel alive again. thank god for that.

and the next day...

when i visit my childhood home in my dreams, the sky is always huge. i remember flying kites when i was 8. i remember the endless sunsets fading into endless dusk. i remember the crickets and the mosquitoes and the junebugs and the lightning bugs. i remember peace. i remember the smells of barbecues and the neighborhood and trees and flowers pulsing in the night. i remember high full moons. i remember lightning and thunder. i remember always and forever knowing nothing could hurt me.

nothing can hurt me. nothing can hurt you. you are invincible. you cannot die. get up. stand up. do not hide your head anymore. only you can change your life to what you want.

i am alive once again. this music in my head and my heart brings me joy. nothing can fucking stop me.

there are women right now crying. they feel they aren't beautiful emotionally or physically. they feel it's too late. it's not too late. there are men hiding feelings from themselves. the feel their hearts are dying. hearts never die. they hibernate. summer wakes us up.

get up. unite. wake up and scream.

heard in a dream:

run. run and hide from them. they know where you are. you try to stay quiet, but you know you will be found. in the hills. in the cities. on college campuses in bathrooms that smell like old chocolate.
