saw patti smith at the john anson ford ampitheatre last night. groovy little theatre in the hills, like an open air lecture hall. a beautiful night, great people watching, lots and lots of all types of interesting folks just having fun.

patti was in good form, very vocal and loud, reading poetry with anti-bush and anti-war images on the backdrop, lots of psychedelic swirling things also and a great band. they played lots of good songs from the new album and ended with gloria. "jesus died for somebody's sins, but not mine."

pretty damn good show. made me feel good to be part of a group of such like minded people. anybody else from l.a. there last night?
