I'm moving to Madison tomorrow. I just thought it was finally time to start getting my shit together and go back to school and stuff.
My friend is the president of a frat so he's letting me live there without acctually joining the frat.
Acctually it's a pretty sweet deal because it's pretty cheap for the area and I get free utls and free crazy fast internet a la it's an engineering frat.
Cheap parking. Etc.
But now I have to find a job superfast in madison so sustain this little adventure in education.
Either way, I dig Madison a lot more than shit-town where i live, though I have to admit there are a lot of things about madison I don't like.
I'm a little worried about drinking and doing drugs, which may be more readily available in madison, though they were pretty readily available as fuck in edgerton where I grew up because I know everybody and all.
Of course there is a lot of stuff to do in madison that isn't drinking.
Speaking of which, I was hanging out with my friend and his girlfriend who i had just met and after a fairly lovely evening she left and he just FLIPPED the fuck out and started getting all angry and beating the wall and all this.
It was crazy.
That guy is just wrapped too tight, he got a 3.8 while taking more than 18 credits.
he's one of my oldest friends, and a brilliant guy, when I say that I think he's going to be senator someday, I really mean that.
or at least the professor everyone hopes they don't get.
But he's gonna fucking freak out if he doesn't calm down. I told him to take this summer off, not like 'take a couple classes' but just slack off all summer.
I think he could do very well with a little socialization.
I am all about saving yourself, and all about meaningfull relationships, but he needs to get fucked.
So I'm moving all my shit out of my place tomorrow.
Anyone know any place in madison that's hireing?
I've already got a couple leads and all, but any input would be helpful.
whee.
