you could 1. find another noob and learn against each other (best option) 2. suffer some time on yahoo games, getting trounced 3. maybe play against yourself?

any of the three options are fully worth it, it's a game in a class by itself, every game is like building a computational model of competition, it's a personality test, it's a reasonable replacement for reality.

actually i would offer to play you online, but i can't schedule my online time. my life is too messy.

hey, i came across your profile & checked out your wishlist (i admit it, i was looking for reading material for myself ) and i think the fact that the first things on it are books about rainwater catchment & passive solar is reason enough for me to request your friendship.
i'm working on the whole self-sufficiency thing, myself i compiled a list of books and resources for another friend a while back, if you're interested, i could dig it up.
