SO yeasterday was a mess. The morning started off with a bang, literaly, when caltrain hit an abandoned car on the tracks. I was an hour and a half late for work. Doctor was not too happy about that but she understood. I thought the worst was over until I started home and the train was in the midst of yet another catastrophe! This time they hit a person and the person, understandably not able to withstand the impact of a 5 car train traveling at 70 miles an hour, died. It being my last work day of the week I was eager to get home and not looking forward to waiting for the next train :indefinatly". I was with out hope and kicking myself for not bringing my bike (even thouhgt hat would mean I had a 17 mile bike ride ahead of me). As I stood there quite dejected I noticed a woman going to buy a ticket and jsut as she was going ot put her money in I stoppped her and told her it was probably not worth her wasting her bills. We chatted and to make a long story short she gave me a ride! I was surprised that in this day and age a stranger would do such a nice thing. She obviously was just taking the train to save herself the grief of office hours traffic and it was really not a huge deal for her that it wasn't running. She was so nice that Linda. She totaly made getting stranded a segway into making a friend. She is quite a bit older then me (I am the same age as her son) but we had a lot in common come to find out. So now I have a new friend, Linda. And I absolutely gave her my number so we could get coffee.
Now, today was an exciting day because I went to a department store and totaly scored when I bought a memory foam topper for my bed and some egyptian cotton sheets! There is a back story to why I am obsessed with making my bed into a haven - I mean other then the obvious reason of wanting to sleep on a cloud.
Back story: I have for the last 3 weeks been having nightmares, every night. They range from awkward to devastating to horrifying. And lately those are the only catagories my dreams fall under. I've watched my Lovebug, el_diablo_blanco, in such an abhorring way persue a co-worker of mine (sexualy) that I thought I must be high on glue. His behaviour in my dream was not at all synonymous with what I know his character to be -charming without a hint of depraved or miscreant tendancies and just an all around stand up guy.
I've had to protect crying babies form a hord of voracious rats. In complete darkness none-the-less. Nothig like waking up convinced you can feel little scratching claws all over you.
And last night I had to fend off a pack of hyenas. I was also a guy in that one....
I have no idea where these dreams are coming form but I hope my new more comfortable sleeping arrangment works.
Wish me luck guys!
