I feel better today. Things around here have just been kind of stressed lately. Now the only problem i have is all of the pollen! I went to work on my car and i got pollen all over my hands from touching the hood and such. Then, because of my allergies, i think rubbed my eyes. I'm dealing with crusty, puffy eyes, and I ain't got no medicine at home. I could go get some, but I don't want to get dressed and go to the store. i will just suffer. blackeyed

I thought i would share this story i wrote when i was in the 4th grade. This version is slightly modified in terms of language, but the original plot is still intact. This story inspired me to want to become a children's writer. Maybe someday! Enjoy!

The Zebra's Beginning
It was an odd day in London, for it was not raining. Everyone sought to utilize this day the best that they could since this sort of weather rarely came about. People worked in their gardens, played outside, and took care of things that are unpleasant to do in the rain.
Because is was perfect outside, the Queen demanded the rusted gate in front of the palace be painted black. As quickly as possible, a team of painters rushed to the palace and began to paint the gate. The painters worked tirelessly to complete the task and finished shortly after starting. They cleaned up, put up a "wet paint" sign, and enjoyed the day.
A few hours later, along came bobbies on white horses. They were trying to squeeze their horses through the throng of people. It seemed as though the entire city was on that sidewalk. The bobbies decided to abandon their horses next to the gate for the time being and to continue on foot, and would return when it was calm.
As time passed, the crowd became restless, and began to push the horses out of the way. They shoved the horses so much they squished them against the wet, black paint. Bewildered the paint covered horses began to try to turn around, but pushed against the gate again. The struggle continued until late into the day. The surging crowd reduced to a couple of people.
At dusk, the bobbies came back to recover their horses, but did not see them. In their place, the bobbies discovered black and white striped horses. Because of their disappointment, the bobbies chased the strangely colored horses far away. So far in fact, the horses finally ended up in the grasslands of Africa. That is how the zebra came to be.
