Alright, this is just a rough draft, spelling errors included. I wrote a little bit about my feelings on oregons current economic situation. I don't even know who to send it to. I am writing in regards to Oregon's current economical status. Oregon is falling by the minute and I can't stand back here any
longer and watch it happen. At the end of January, we will be voting on Measure 28, to extend funds for vital services. My main
question is--Why are government agencies cutting benifits before people even get a chance to vote? I am on public assistance
and I have gotten several letters about how some of Oregon Health plan is being cut, and how I am going to lose some of my income
each month. It strikes me odd, as my money from government assistance gets lower, the salary's governers, mayors, ect keep
going up. Those few dollars may not matter to you, but they do to low income people who spend their last dimes on the electricity
bill. While government officials are living in luxuray, we have to suffer from buget cuts. Who does the budge planning around here?
Why is so much money being wasted? My father went into a government office and saw construction workers tearing off perfectly
good wallpaper. He asked what they were doing, and they said that they were remodeling. So money that should be going towards
schools, low income residents, and the disabled, is spent remodeling an office? Oregon is falling, and I want to know what I can do
