once again your comments warm my heart! i think the reason why i stick with it (even though i'm STIIL keeping my appointment to see a career counselor) is because there are so many wonderful kids there that make it worth it. it just makes me sad when i see such young kids (i teach grades 1-4) who are already so angry and aggressive and pissed off at the world that they don't care what happens to them. i get angry when i see how parents neglect their kids because even though the city i teach in is poor, loving your kids and giving them the attention they need is FREE damnit!

i am a pc to mack convert myself. i just always coveted the shiny white compact little machine, its like a giant chiclet candy, except if i bit my i book, that would be bad!
the kids are getting a little bit better. i had one class this week when i actually felt like a real teacher. its an uphill battle, now that i'm invested in the kids and i've started to really like and care about some of them it makes it easier for me to want to stick it out.
