So tour is over, after a fair amount of drunkenness and bad food. It was a pretty good tour, and I'm beginning to think that we should only tour if it's with our friends. We've been out with The Supersuckers, Two Cow Garage, Drag The River, and now Hillstomp, and those tours have been so much better than slugging it out on the road on your own, even if the shows are crappy. And they sometimes are. Especially on a Monday night sandwiched between Halloween weekend and Halloween. Or a Wednesday after Halloween.
Note to self: Don't tour near holidays, no matter how fun it might sound ahead of time.
Work is slow back home, so I have lots of time off for a while with little to do except play poker online (fun as hell) and do some work around the house (not as fun). I just found out that our new performance based raise system at work comes with a maximum wage, which I surpassed years ago, meaning I will never get a raise again. So basically my reward for working hard and being more producitve and profitable for the company than anyone else is to get bent over and screwed. Awesome. Fuck those douche bags.
