Well I have never wrote in the journal and now is a good time to start. Well today kind of sucks because today is Mother's Day and my relationship with mommy dearest is somewhat strained...She doesn't agree with how I live and yada-yada-yada... I really want to talk to her today. Anybody have any advice?

The only advice I tend to give is horribly violent and gorey in nature.
Seriously, you might try just talking to her about something you know she enjoys, or about when you were little or something. Moms are suckers for that.
