Whoa PMS - I had some lower back crankiness today AND I've been a junk food eating whore. Seriously. Plus I get sluggish and sleepy and less inclined to work out. Oops....oh well. I am really craving crunchy fried foods like yummy french fries with ketchup. Uhhhh...drooling.

Anyway - today was another stupid day at my rotation. They were short on one of their techs so I was pulled to do a technician's job even though we're supposed to be "learning!" I was so pissed I took a 15 minute "bathroom" break and wandered outside to bitch about it to my gf. The other day when this happened, I wandered upstairs to eat a sugary snack (hey, I was feeling sleepy and sluggish as fuck) and I sat in the sun and made my doctor appointment to get another PPD done for school.

I still haven't managed to get my ass to the bank. I haven't been in about 6 weeks now. Ooops. I love my credit card and they love me.

I just got home a little while ago and am currently nursing a bruised rib or ribs. J. got me frigging good with a knee while we were in a clinch. It's maybe the 5th rib or that area - right by my left boob. I feel it when I take a deep breath. I think I caught her with a few good knees - I tried to land them lightly because they do really hurt especially when you hit someone on the ribs that don't attach to your sternum by cartilage. I also got her really fucking good with multiple punches to the face. It was maybe 3 rounds of 3 minutes and we were going 80-90% hands and legs. I like throwing my low right roundhouse kick so I pegged her a few times and I also threw head height roundhouse kicks. It was cool. I seem to like using this combo - fake a punch, throw a low right roundhouse kick, and follow up with a left front kick. I need to mix it up a little bit more....but there's time for that.

Conclusion - I graded to blue and Kru Steve was pretty happy with my performance considering I'm pretty green. I could really refine a lot of it and this gym is a good place to really clean up your style. I might consider trying to take private lessons with my Krav Maga instructor so I can learn more dirty moves or different types of moves and brush up on my Krav Maga material considering he wants me to test up to green and I haven't been there in weeks. Oops. He misses me and I wish I had more time to go. Maybe I'll try to go soon.

Tomorrow looks like a long day. Well, actually, every day looks like a long day. I don't have a day off until November - maybe Thanksgiving.

Monday-Fridays looks like - 6 a.m., wake up, coffee, eat, read email, get dressed, out the door by 6:50 a.m., get to my site at 7:50 a.m., stay there from 8-4, head down to the gym typically by 4:30 p.m., spend 1-2, sometimes 2.5 hours at the gym, eat dinner in 5 minutes, hop on the subway, get home by 7:30 or 8. Bed by 10 p.m.

The weekends basically consist of working two 8 hour days....longer if I do TPN and there are more than 30 bags to make. Yeah.....I have no life. And if I work an evening shift on a Saturday, I spend another 1-2 hours at the gym....I try to make it 5-6 times a week anywhere from 6-10 hours a week.....this week is a lazy light week. I'm considering getting up early to head to the gym because I have to go to a meeting tomorrow evening and it'll fuck up my workout plan.
