School Is Lame (get ready for my rants of the day)
De Anza & SJSU need more people working that are knowledgeable in the field they are getting paid in. ... I went to see if my AA degree got filed but the lady told me that if i wanted to be part of the grad ceremony that i have to sign another ppr. so i waited for 1.5 hours to see a counselor, per lady's orders. During my wait i'm cursing the other 2 counselors i spoke to prior, to get my AA form & to find out the date & time of the graduation (which didnt have any clue). They didn't say anything even though i made it so clear that i'm first gen. college grad. I mean "Duh" i'd want to make sure i get everything done right there all at once so that I can enjoy my degree & make the rents happy. So i see the counselor & she tells meeh that there was no reason for me to be there b/c my AA was my ticket into the ceremony. so i had her call up the lady in Admin & Records to chew her out. Ok so one down.
Later i see a co-worker who's g/f is transferring to SJSU as well. He tells meeh that she just got a packet in the mail on Friday that needs to be filled out & in the office by this Friday accompanied by a sum of $100. WTF i didn't get a packet! all i got was this ID name thing & some money aid pprs. I mailed out the Intent to Attend form today but it doesn't say anything about turning in any money. so Im getting really upset trying to get rush transcripts & those papers signed & crap faxed. I understand that pprs need to be turned in, sure, maybeeh the school doesnt get paid enough, hence the fee. But there is no reason for the obese tardiness of information to get to transfering students. We got our letters of acceptance like in February. That is when we should have received all the other information, yknow, like how to attend that fing school. Im going to have to take off school & work to drive my happy ass over to that state campus to hand deliver those pprs & get a receipt b/c they are understaffed & lose everything
I started crying when I was filling out my transcript request online b/c it was just so frustrating. That site made me so mad. It didnt make sense. One page it says no pickups, then another page asks if I wanna pick up my transcripts. Yknow Im not explaining this as well as I probably can, but Im just so freaking mad @ the school systems. They just push students around like we dont know anything well cmon if I new everything I wouldnt beeh in that school. And going back to my favorate Admin & Rec people, the there lady (different one) said that this would pickup rush would set meeh back only $7.50. I was charged $14! Again a lack of adequate intelligence to even get paid working in that position.
mind you, these are all 30+ year old ladys that work on campus & give out bad information. If you were to come in contact with one of these, then beeh very skeptical when their tongue starts flapping. ... just a forewarning.

I feel your pain, it's a fuck'n bitch. Don't take no crape and roll with the punches. It's not entirely their fault their understaffed and dumb, they probably take like 7 different medications and talk about perrscription drugs like old people do. Plus it doesn't help that the State keeps cutting funds for schools to get a real and plentiful staff.
