Long time, no consistent internet.
I finally have my cable/ internet connected and my wireless configured yadda yadda.
Yay for being able to access the SG's again.

I am settling into my new life in a new place.
I live alone...and that can cause one to be a bit lonely...no one to share food with or shares bills like cable...but the freedom from the bitches and the ability to say "hmmmm. I'm going to put this furniture.....HERE.....because I want to"....and if there are dishes and wrappers all over the place....they are from me....and me only....
As far as getting to know the area- I spent today wandering around my little yuppievile and enjoying the small shops and farmer's market, etc. I'm very close to all the huge mega chain stores, and I'm having the huge guild dilemma as to where I make my purchases and how they relate to the loss of individual business In the city, I have found the Fluevog store. I have had a tour of Greenwich village historic locations and eateries. I wandered about Soho and listened to my friend complain again how much he hates it there. I have done the dinner n' a movie in Times Square. I had overpriced and posh rice pudding. If rice pudding can be posh. And I got to play in the giant Apple glass cube store. So So So much more to do.
