Red Asphalt:

Dont ever try to drive a 7+ hour road trip after only an hour of sleep and a full day of work. I seriously thought I was going to kill myself driving down I-5 to Santa Barbara Friday night. First it starts by driving with one eye open, switching eyes to let the other one rest. Soon after your head starts dropping occasionally. Then my favorite. When your eyes are wide open, but you still catch yourself floating into other lanes, and snapping back into consciousness while realizing you cant remember the last 10 miles

Surfs up brah:

This weekend was a tragic reminder of why Im not looking forward to living in Southern California. Tons of beautiful people, with all the sense of lemmings. If I lived right next to the ocean, Im pretty sure I would surf every day. But the commercial culture that surrounds that activity drives me up the wall. Every single girl I walked by looked like a cookie cutter cutout from a Roxy catalogue. The lack of individuality was absolutely staggering. I stuck out like a sore thumb. The plus side being that people seemed be really interested in me. The down side being that when they opened their mouths, I immediately lost interest in them. Yes, I am an arrogant asshole

The silver lining:

The most beautiful sunset I can ever remember.. Followed by drinks with my best friend who I don't get to see often enough.
