Silver Sake Appreciation Journal:

I love my sushi bar. Besides the fact that they have awesome food, cheap prices, and a rad atmosphere. The two owners just flat out kick ass. I stopped by Friday night just to grab a quick bite on my way home Four hours later Im still there. The chef and I, along with another regular, had polished of two large bottles of sake, and some sake bombs. The chef loves to get belligerent with the customers when hes drinking, and it always makes for a good show. The food was flowing non stop, and everybody was having a good time. When the open sign finally shut off, we all ended up hanging out on a couch just talking until we sobered up. I asked for my bill, and he told me not to even worry about it. They got $20 in the tip jar, because I love them so much

Pie ala mode:

I drove down the valley Saturday to hang out with some friends, and try to ride my bike since the injury. After a decent day of riding I decided to stay for the night.
By midnight we ended up at 24 hour diner attached to a cowboy bar. Apple pie ala mode, and a chef with plumbers crack. The bar was having Karaoke night, so there was no question that we were going to hang out and watch the show. Tons of rednecks and skanky bar girls belting out the finest tunes from Randy Travis, Lee Greenwood, and Nelly. I totally filled out a card to sing The Cure Friday Im in Love, but the Elvis imposter who was running the show didnt seem to like us. We waited an hour and a half to get called, but finally gave up. I was a little bummed that I didnt get to kill the mood, or get called a queer.

Im getting a little tired of the perpetual always a bridesmaid, never a bride feeling I get whenever I go out
