holy shit!
woke up this morning to find THREE chinchillas where there used to be two!!! We had a baby last night! awwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! Eeets soooo cuuute!!!! Had to buy another cage in the last hour to house daddy chin', as Mom goes into heat again right away, and while I'm all in favor of good humpage, it's hard on her leeetle body so soon after popping out a small furry open eyed babe!
It is now 12 hours since that post above, and Jenni & I are bawling our eyes raw. Our new little babys... FATHER has just died. The daddy chinchilla the first chin' We bought was moved into another cage for the familys safety this morning. What We think happened, is that He ate too much dried fruit, and also overheated himself in the excitement of the day, and did something to his frasgile system. It's unbelieveable that Daddy wouls die the day his little one was born.
