I think my computer desk has turned into some shrine. I finally got some furniture... well a desk but I never had anything to fill the shelves with. I've lived a pretty minimal life. Only a year and a half ago, my stuff used to fit in 2 boxes and a bag. Now I enough stuff to fill three times that amount, maybe more. Anyway back on subject, the shelves. The shelves I filled with my roommate's egyptian statues and some of my buddhist stuff. I've also became addicted to incense. I have fallen in love with incense ever since my sense of smell returned. So now I have these golden and stone figures around my computer with the smoke weaving in between the shelves, statues and my computer. It smells great.
Alcohol seems to have lost its... lustre. Last weekend, drinking was plain. It was like I drank because that is what I do. Yeah it helps me remove those inhibitions that stop me from having a conversation and they taste good but it was just lost on me. It's probably just a phase. At least, I feel I still like absinthe.
I have a package at the post office. It's from my ex, I know it. I'm not all that keen to pick it up. It will probably have my WOW discs and my coat but it might also have a guilt trip letter with it. If I do pick it up, i'll be handling it with gloves. That house is full of animals. They're all cute animal and adorable too but they're dirty. Dirty as in, you pat them and your hand get darker from the dirt. I should also destroy any letter with it.
Even though I may seem like I'm having whinge, I'm not dissatisfied with my life. I'm quite satisfied. I wake up every morning to incense and tea, staring at the hills. I go to sleep by reading by candlelight. It's quite nice and relaxing.
