It has been a sad couple of days for the entertainment industry. I grew up watching Ed McMahon and Johnny Carson together on the Tonight Show, and saw Ed McMahon transition to commercials. He was truly an inspiration and icon for the television industry.

We also lost Farrah Fawcett, whom I will miss the most. As a young child watching Charlie's Angels, Farrah Fawcett was my first tv crush, although I have always been more attracted to brunettes. She was a sex symbol and a great actress taken before her time.

Lastly, we have lost Michael Jackson as well. Surprisingly I'm not as broken up over his passing as I should be. I will say that in his early years with the Jackson 5 and his solo career up through Thriller, he was one of my favorite musicians. In his later years he became less known for his music and more for various scandals and his money troubles. He made an impact on the music business and some will always remember him for that. others will only remember him for the scandals. Either way, music lost an icon today, and he can't be forgotten amidst all of the tragedy.
