All I can say is that I hope the new year gets better than it's starting out to be. I didn't even get a chance for a proper NYE. My grandmother had a heart attack the other day, and I was informed at the same time that she has cancer. Lovely thoughts to be dealing with as the new year was approaching. My father came home yesterday morning around 11 and woke me up saying that we had to go to he hospital. Never giving me a chance to do anything besides get dressed. I ended up spending the whole day at the hospital without anything to do besides wait. The doctors performed surgery and my grandmother is doing ok so far, but they have her in ICU. I'm scared to death about what's going to happen, although I'm not close to that side of the family in the least. She is still family whether I've ever been treated as such or not. I'm pissed off though that my dad felt like I had to be at the hospital for no real reason. I would have preferred being home and able to go out to enjoy Punk Nite last night. I would have preferred to be anywhere other than the hospital really. I'm making up for missing NYE a little bit by sitting here having a drink. I just hope the year gets better from here though. If it doesn't, I'm gonna be in big trouble.
