As many know, Christmas has always just been another day of the year for me. Most of my family and I are estranged, and I'm just as happy that way. On the flipside though, my extended family and I are closer than anyone could expect. This fact changed my outlook on Christmas immensely. First of all, I want to say thank you to KatieOkieDokie and her family for allowing me the opportunity to enjoy dinner in an atmosphere that I didn't feel completely as an outsider or isolated in. I actually felt more like I belonged among them than I do within my own family. It was just like being among the family I had in Alabama growing up. Sadly, most of them have passed away over the years, but they have never left my thoughts. Another member of my extended family that I want to say thank you to is PunkNiteMike. He has helped me keep my head up more than anyone knows. When I feel like I can't keep going or feel down, he is always right there to keep pushing me to do all that I can. Whether it's going to a show, fliering, or just hanging out shopping, I'm kept on my toes and busy.

The two of them made sure that I had a great Christmas this year. Aside from the great friendships, I also received a ton of gifts. I got one of my favorite movies from KatieOkieDokie, Pathfinder. The tale of a warrior who is a member of two people's, but belonging to neither. PunkNiteMike went all out as far as gifts are concerned. He gave me a Crow thermal and Crow tshirt, a Misfits banner, keychain, and lighter, Hellyeah: Below the Belt DVD, and the movie and soundtrack of Prey For Rock & Roll. A movie about the difficulty women face in the music business.
