Everyone is keeping me busy. I spent most of last weekend helping metal_and_ink organize his items, and move into a new apartment. We did take a break to attend the Imitations of Inspiration Art event. As can be seen in the photo taken by PunkNiteMike, I even cleaned up a little bit for once.
This past weekend was what PunkNiteMike and I deemed derby weekend. We travelled to Dayton on Saturday to witness the first ever Gem City Rollergirls bout, Malice In Wonderland. The bout saw the Aces of Spades taking on the Queens of Bloody Hearts, and the Aces snagging the win.
On Sunday, we journeyed to Columbus for the Ohio Rollergirls playoff bouts, Great Brawls of Fire. The Take Outs were pitted against the Sprockettes and the Band of Brawlers faced the Blackeyed Bullies. I now look forward to the championship bout in September between the Take Outs and Band of Brawlers.
I am also being kept busy in the music scene. I am teaching myself to write CSS code for a music page, as well as helping out with the local music scene. I will also be attending at least 2 concerts this week, with a possible 2 additional shows. PunkNiteMike and I are looking forward to enjoying Gwar on Thursday and Friday both.
