It seems as if I didn't slow down at all over the weekend. PunkNiteMike and I went to Dayton for our first Punk Nite show there. The set up of venue leaves a bit to be desired, but it didn't seem to deter the crowd. It started out kind of slow, but the building was packed by the end of the night. A few fellow SG member's showed up in the crowd as well, including Pammy, Oblivion, and Fayt.
Sunday saw PunkNiteMike and I attending the Ohio Rollergirls: Red, Black, and Blue. The bouts were great, and several leagues were represented as well. Something interesting occured at one point while I was outside in the smoking area. I had a young lady from a league that is starting up come over, put her arms around me, and just about kiss me right there in front of everyone. I could smell the alcohol on her from a mile away. It's not something I'm used to happening.
After roller derby, we went to the Newport Music Hall to watch Mindless Self Indulgence play. They were ok, but I atill can't quite get into them. I can say that they have improved some since the time I saw them open for Rob Zombie and Korn. Then tomorrow night, I get to go see Drowning Pool at the Blue Cat in Bellefontaine. Everyone is keeping me busy.
