The weekend was fun. I went with PunkNiteMike to see Legbone and the Give Ups at Elbo's. We stopped by Pearl to pick up some awesome Gem City Rollergirls fliers first though. We started pasting them on cars along with Punk Nite fliers as soon as we got there. We met up with the always lovely Pammy while we were there as well. I think we all got a laugh though. She said she hadn't spotted us because I didn't have a beer in my hand. Being the sweetie that is Pammy, that was quickly remedied
Tomorrow evening is a parade and event at the local mall for a local Olympic player, Kristin King. For those interested, she was a member of the USA Women's Olympic Hockey team, and she is from the neighboring town of Piqua. I'm planning to go out and pass out Punk Nite and GCRG fliers and posters during the day, and attend the festivities in the evening. It isn't often that anyone from these small towns does anything interesting.
I also have a videotape at the moment that I can't wait to copy, or better yet, find for sale. My father saw a show last week on the Discovery channel about freaks and sideshows. Part of it was filmed at a tattoo convention that metal_and_ink and I attended a few years ago. At one point during the filming, we were taped browsing an artists booth. Ed had hair at that point
We're not on for very long, but we can be seen. We both had BME hoodies on, and I can be easily recognized by the Mudvayne pentagram tattooed on the side of my neck. I find it interesting that we've shown up on more than one television program that involves the body modification community.
