When I'm older, I'm probably going to end up being a bitchy mom. If I have kids.
I'm definitely liberal when it comes to many things, but there are a few things that bother me in particular.
I hate people who blame others for their own problems. Especially when they try to be like "fuck you" to their parents, when really, they're only fucking over themselves. Then you get to hear them complain about how terrible their life is because their parents did this and so and so did that.
There are a lot of people who come out of shitty little towns or the projects and CAN be successful if they so desire. Pull yourself up by your fucking bootstraps, for god's sake.
Another thing I hate is when people don't respect their parents. Now I can understand in circumstances where parents are abusive, but with normal parents, I hate spoiled kids who don't listen to them. I think that people in America are a lot less respectful of their elders than they should be. And in return, I think a lot of older people have bad stereotypes about teenagers being naive, immature, irresponsible, and "bad".
Kids have no right to complain if their parents are strict. Half the kids that I know who have parents who were strict were able to do more when they were older because they gained their parents trust. And the kids I knew who never were restricted by their parents have gotten low expectations in return and are going to community college because they think it's a big "fuck you" to their parents when they actually do ask them to do something. (Oh no, how hard is it to apply for scholarships?)
I think it's incredibly sad that some people don't even become responsible until they're all by themselves in college. Some people can't even do that then. It's just ridiculous... You can't be 17, 18, or 19 years old and not be able to take care of yourself. Laziness shouldn't even be a factor. It's just pathetic.
